History

January, 1984		Sumikin Osaka Plant Construction Inc. was founded in Osaka Steel Works of Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd., for the purposes of reinforcement of repairing system and production and sale of energy saving apparatus and new products development.
April, 1987		Sumikin Railway Service Inc. was founded in Osaka Steel Works, targeted on the field of railway track maintenance related business.
April, 1988		Sumikin Railway Service Inc. cooperated with Sumikin Osaka Plant Construction Inc., started on the development and sales of railway car maintenance facilities.
November, 1988		Sumikin Osaka Plant Construction Inc. changed the company name to Sumikin Osaka Plant Inc.
October, 1992		Sumikin Railway Service Inc. merged with Sumikin Techno Research, Inc. and Sumikin Tube Technos, Inc., founded Sumitomo Metal Technology, Inc.
January, 1996		Sumikin Osaka Plant Inc. merged with Sumikin Machining, Inc., founded Sumikin Kansai Industries, Ltd.
October, 2012		Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation established.
October, 2012		Sumikin Kansai Industries, Ltd changed the company name to Nippon Steel & Sumikin Kansai Industries, Ltd.
April, 2013		Sumitomo Metal Technology Inc. merged with Nippon Steel Techno-research Corp., founded Nippon Steel & Sumikin Technology Co., Ltd.
April, 2015		Plant business division of Nippon Steel & Sumikin Kansai Industries, Ltd and railway division of Nippon Steel & Sumikin Technology Co., Ltd were reorganized, and Nippon Steel & Sumikin Railway Technology Co., Ltd. established.
April, 2019		Nippon Steel & Sumikin Railway Technology Co., Ltd. changed the company name to Nippon Steel Railway Technology Co., Ltd.
